Research Assistant II
Position Purpose
The Kasper Lab is hiring a Research Assistant II to join us in the Department of Molecular and Systems Biology in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in beautiful Hanover, NH. We investigate the developmental mechanisms governing the vascular and hematopoietic systems in health and disease. We use a combination of live imaging, genetic and biochemical approaches, and high-throughput 'omic' technologies in the zebrafish to dissect how epigenetic to posttranslational gene regulatory mechanisms control cell differentiation. The ideal candidate will be familiar with genetics and have experience with animal models and molecular and cell biology techniques, including cloning and PCR, transcriptomics, image analysis, and/or microscopy. We seek a curious and creative team member, who is highly motivated to carry out independent research projects, zebrafish husbandry, and technical training for lab members.
