Skills/Qualifications
Mandatory requirements:
- Graduate of a long-cycle university program (holding a bachelor's or diploma degree) or holder of a master's degree in the position's field of specialization or a related field.
- Fulfillment of the specific minimum standards for the position of Research Assistant.
Advantage:
- Completed master's program or currently enrolled as a master's student in the position's field of specialization or a related field;
- Competence in physicochemical analyses (spectrophotometric, electrochemical, FTIR/IR spectroscopy);
- Laboratory and sample preparation experience;
- Knowledge of SR EN ISO/IEC 17025, analytical method validation/verification, and environmental quality monitoring;
- Teamwork skills.
Specific Requirements
Participation in experimental, research, and development activities, as well as the validation/verification of analytical methods; contribution to the drafting of scientific papers and the dissemination of results; participation in the preparation of research project proposals and the implementation of related activities; performance of physicochemical analyses to monitor quality parameters in environmental samples (drinking water, wastewater, soil, waste); preparation of samples, reagents, standard solutions, and materials required for analyses; operation of analytical equipment; interpretation of results; adherence to and implementation of work procedures and SR EN ISO/IEC 17025 requirements—including QA/QC activities—as well as completion of specific documentation and ensuring result traceability.

The application file will contain the following documents:
- Signed application form for the competition (standard form – Annex 3 to the Competition Regulations)
- Self-declaration attesting to the veracity of the information presented in the file (standard form – Annex 4)
- Verification sheet of compliance with the minimum standards for registration for the competition for the vacant position of Research Assistant/Scientific Researcher (standard forms specific to the professional degree - Annex 8 for Research Assistant, Annex 9 for Scientific Researcher), completed and signed by the candidate.
- Copy of the bachelor's degree or equivalent, of the master's/doctoral degree, as applicable, accompanied by the transcripts. For candidates for the Scientific Researcher position who do not hold a doctorate, the official certificate attesting to the quality of doctoral student, currently in the period of doctoral studies, will be submitted. In the event that the candidate declared the winner does not hold a diploma issued by a higher education institution in Romania, he/she must submit a copy of the original of the certificate of recognition or equivalence of it/them before being hired and signing the individual employment contract, under penalty of not issuing the administrative act of hiring for the position.
- Curriculum vitae dated and signed by the candidate, which must include:
- studies completed and diplomas obtained;
- professional experience and relevant jobs previously held;
- research, development and innovation projects that he/she led as project director and grants obtained, if applicable, indicating for each funding source, the project budget and the main - scientific publications or patents resulting from invention;
- awards or other elements of recognition of scientific contribution;
- narrative description of the 3 most important achievements in the subject of the position for which the competition is organized – maximum 3 pages.
- List of works (scientific publications, articles, studies, patents) selected by the candidate, depending on their relevance to the field of the position for which he/she is applying, organized as follows:
- maximum 10 relevant scientific publications (author's books, articles/studies/chapters, edited volumes, works, etc.);
- patents and other industrial property titles;
- author's books and edited and published volumes;
- full-length articles/studies published in journals from the main international scientific stream;
- list of other scientific works and contributions.
- Portfolio of works containing supporting documents attesting to the fulfillment of the minimum standards and criteria for the position:
- Work in the specialty field or participation in a scientific communication – for candidates participating in the competition for a vacant position of Research Assistant; supporting documents for elements exceeding the minimum standard, in accordance with the grid in Table 2 of Annex 1 to the competition regulations
- At least 2 projects in which he/she participated as a member of the working group, at least 5 published works as main author or co-author and fulfillment of the criteria in the minimum standards sheet.
- Proposal for the development of the scientific career in terms of scientific research activities (maximum 5 pages) (standard form – Annex 7)
- Copy of the identity card or any other document that certifies identity, according to the law, as appropriate;
- Copy of marriage certificate or proof of name change, as applicable;
- Medical certificate attesting to the candidate's health condition suitable for performing his/her duties, issued by the candidate's family doctor or by the authorized health units, no later than 3 months prior to the competition;
- Declaration of consent for the processing of personal data (GDPR type form – Annex 6)
- Self-declaration stating that, in the last 3 years prior to registration for the competition exam, the candidate has not been sanctioned for committing a serious misconduct in the CDI activity provided for in art.52 paragraph (8) of Law no.183/2024 (standard form – Annex 5).
- Criminal record certificate (original or issued online through authorized platforms)
- For candidates with disabilities, in the event of a request for reasonable accommodation, the certificate attesting to the state of health must be accompanied by a copy of the certificate of classification in a degree of disability, issued under the law.
- Other documents, certificates, attestations that prove the fulfillment of the conditions of the position.
The copies of the documents provided above, as well as the copy of the certificate of classification in a degree of disability are presented accompanied by the ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS, which are certified with the mention "according to the original" by the Human Resources department. The candidate has the obligation to present himself at the Human Resources department with the original documents for their certification. In the case of files sent through the Romanian Post, the physical presentation of the original documents at the Human Resources Department must take place no later than prior to the first stage of the competition (the written test).

The standard forms for registering for the competition: application for registration for the competition, self-declaration regarding the veracity of the information in the file, proposal for the development of the scientific career, verification sheet for compliance with the minimum standards, declaration of consent for the processing of personal data, as well as the Self declaration regarding the lack of sanctions in the CDI activity are available at the INCD ECOIND headquarters in Bucharest (57 – 73 Drumul Podu Dâmboviței Street, sector 6, 060652), made available by the Human Resources Department, as well as on the official website of INCD ECOIND www.incdecoind.ro, within the announcement section. The mentioned annexes are the annexes to the competition regulations.
The competition and appeals resolution committees are established in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned INCD ECOIND Competition Regulations.
