Starting date is 10/1/2026. The position is limited to 3 years.

Your responsibilities

Assisting with courses in accordance with Section 31 of the NHG and with examinations

Contributing to one of the Institute of Numerical and Applied Mathematics’ key research areas

Your profile

A degree (Diplom or Master’s) in Mathematics or a related discipline
A basic knowledge of and interest in optimisation and variational analysis
Basic knowledge of algorithms
Relevant language skills in German (teaching) and English (international communication)
Experience in teaching, scientific publishing and numerical software development is also desirable

The position is intended to support the professional development of early-career researchers and offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD. The position is suitable for part-time work.
