Research Assistant (Machine Learning)

Job Description

The Research Assistant will be required to conduct reinforcement fundamental for biomedical topics including but are not limited to:

1. large language model RL turning
2. anti-collapsing of RL and
3. apply RL to biomedical research

This includes developing reinforcement learning to improve chemical and biomedical language model to enhance generalization and robustness of the model in designing and generating molecular sequences and structures. It will be in collaboration with machine learning experts in tokenization, agentic system, and biologists from cellular functional side. Due to the nature of the work, a solid chemistry background evidenced by undergraduate training is needed.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Has strong reinforcement learning background ,evidenced by first author paper/preprints.
• Has strong chemistry background and knowledge.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Open to fixed-term contract.
