The MuCSL Lab@MAE led by Prof Jinglei YANG is seeking highly enthusiastic and self-motivated candidates to fill the R&D positions to support applied research at HKUST.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide general laboratory, logistical and operational support, and be involved in project management.
• Organize and store all chemicals according to the safety instructions.
• Assist project leader/manager/supervisor in managing and maintaining the science labs, as well as keeping them in good working order by completing the inventory, replenishing necessary supplies, cleaning equipment, etc.
• Prepare materials and apparatus for Chemistry/Energy simulation experiments, including working with electrical equipment, chemicals, specimens and other resources.
• Provide administrative support such as handling trading documents, stock management, etc.

Requirements:

• A degree holder in engineering-related disciplines.
• Preference will be given to those with at least oneyear of work experience; fresh graduates will also be considered.
• Solid knowledge and research experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of polymer/nanoparticle/composite.
• Effective communicator in oral and written English and Chinese.
• A good team player.

(Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.
