Location: Augusta University, Our Health Sciences Campus: 1120 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30912
College/Department Information: The laboratory focuses on clinical and laboratory research on the mechanisms of visual function and dysfunction. Highly motivated applicants with prior experience in laboratory research and computer programming are encouraged to apply. The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine (DNRM) is dedicated to translating basic research to patient care, focusing on diseases like schizophrenia, stroke, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis.
Responsibilities: Working with human subjects, carrying out psychophysical experiments, assisting in neuroimaging and eye-tracking experiments, managing labs (including ordering supplies, ensuring compliance, and maintaining equipment), and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field, with experience in research or clinical settings. Or Associate's degree with a minimum of three years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with human subjects.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgement, work independently, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, strong organizational and critical thinking skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other software.
Shift/Salary/Benefits: Days; Monday - Friday. Pay Band: B5. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retirement options, vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Tuition assistance may be available after six months.
