Research Assistant (Operations Research & Analytics)

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support research in machine learning and operations research, with a focus on multi-agent reinforcement learning and stochastic inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on multi-agent reinforcement learning.
• Complete both the queueing version and the general version of the research project.
• Support the completion and submission of a paper on stochastic inventory control with latent queues.
• Perform mathematical analysis, programming, simulation, and model development as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on research design, implementation, and writing.
• Contribute to preparing research outputs, including reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s degree in management science, business, computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Evidence of the ability to conduct high-quality research.
• Strong background in mathematics and programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
