"Research Assistant"

Reporting to the Principal Investigator. The post holder is a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of research support for a project studying motivation in Parkinson’s disease and patients with focal frontal lobe lesions. The role is in conjunction with a new MRC grant and will fund a 2-year full time research assistant.

Full time or part-time down to minimum 66% would be required to maintain the testing schedule. The work will be on-site, mainly at the Life and Mind Building, but also at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Some of your responsibilities will include managing research and administrative activities, within guidelines provided by senior colleagues and being responsible for the day-to-day administration of the research project.

It is essential that you hold a first degree and have experience of running psychological tasks or cognitive testing in human participants. It is desirable that you have experience of contributing to research publications or presenting data at conferences and have experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects.

The post is full time (part time at minimum 0.66 FTE may be considered) for a fixed term of 2 years in the first instance.
