Job Description
Research Assistant Professor functions as a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; maintains an active research program in cardiac and skeletal muscle signaling/physiology; develops research proposals; participates in collaborative research programs; publishes in scientific literature; instruction of undergraduate, healthcare professional and graduate students; presents at professional meetings.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Professional) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biology or physiology
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in biology, physiology or related field required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen

The Division is supported by The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Wexner Medical Center, and The James Cancer Hospital.

Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.
