Research Assistant Professor - Neurology

The new faculty member will be part of a vibrant research environment focused on defining and understanding problems, developing potential interventions, and evaluating ways to improve healthcare delivery and ultimately the outcomes for patients with neurologic conditions. In addition, faculty will benefit from the existing infrastructure provided by the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics, and Systems Thinking in Health Services and Implementation Science Research (CATALYST). Both the Neurology Health Services Research Division and CATALYST are committed to expanding their research presence, and the new faculty member will have an important role in helping to achieve this goal.

The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine Department of Neurology, Division of Health Services Research is seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty members to join our growing research team. Positions can be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Candidates interested in health services research (e.g., clinical epidemiology, clinical informatics, disparities, health outcomes, or implementation research) are encouraged to apply. The Division of Health Services Research provides a rich environment for interdisciplinary, collaborative health services research. Faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects and publications and to pursue their investigator-initiated research. We welcome candidates from all neurologic subspecialties and general neurology. We seek individuals who are motivated to grow their skillset and broaden their impact on the healthcare system.

Requirements: Doctorate in Genetics

Additional Information: Faculty Defined - Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.
