Position description: The Faculty of Chemistry at Wrocław University of Science and Technology is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Professor (research-focused) or Visiting Researcher to conduct scientific research within the framework of the NCN OPUS-LAP project titled Dissecting cancer activome to develop new generation of antibody-drug conjugates.

Requirements:
- PhD in immunology, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field, obtained in 2019 or later.
- Experience in biochemistry and molecular biology, including techniques such as Western blot, SDS-PAGE, and cell culture.
- Proficiency in analytical software and techniques, as well as standard office applications and illustration tools (e.g., MS Office, BioRender, or equivalents).
- Fluent spoken and written English.

1) Full-time remuneration for a post-doc type post is awarded in accordance with Regulations on awarding funding for research tasks funded by the National Science Centre as regards research projects (Annex to NCN Council Resolution No 95/2020 of 14 September 2020). The person to be employed in this NCN post-doc position will meet all of the following conditions:
- A postdoctoral (post-doc) position is a full-time position planned by the project principal investigator for a person who obtained a doctoral degree no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project. This period may be extended by the duration of long-term (more than 90 days), documented periods of sick leave or rehabilitation benefits resulting from incapacity for work. In addition, the number of months spent on leave related to childcare and parental leave granted in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Code may be added to this period. In the case of women, an additional 18 months may be added for each child born or adopted, if this method of accounting for career breaks is more advantageous;
- they are selected by means of open competition procedure, carried out by a recruitment committee appointed by the head of the project’s host entity, composed of the project’s principal investigator as its chair and at least two other persons appointed by the principal investigator, who have necessary scientific or professional qualifications. The assessment of the candidates is carried out pursuant to the criteria outlined in the call announcement and the results are made public by posting on the website of the project’s host institution;
- their PhD degree has been awarded by another institution than the one planned to employ them at this post;.
- they will be employed for a period of at least 6 months;
- at the time of receiving remuneration, they will not be receiving any other remuneration paid from the funds granted to research projects under NCN calls under the heading of direct costs;
- in the period of receiving the remuneration they will be receiving no remuneration from another employer pursuant to an employment contract, including an employer with registered office outside of Poland.

** If a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting research, research and teaching, research and development, or implementation activities (excluding cases specified in art. 125 sec. 3 of the Act) wins the recruitment process, and this employment does not expire on the date of employment at Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector's consent to additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after being employed at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If a person who conducts business activity wins the recruitment process, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act must be met.
