As a Research Officer in the Transforming Healthcare Impact Area, you will contribute to the WECARE project, aiming to optimise hospital work environments. You'll collaborate with hospital staff, conduct interviews and time-in-motion studies, and support the development of innovative solutions through computer simulations. This role offers you the chance to enhance staff satisfaction and patient care while advancing your research expertise in a supportive and values-driven environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct Research and Analysis: Plan and carry out research activities, including ethics applications, literature reviews, and time-in-motion studies.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Conduct interviews with hospital staff to identify task allocation opportunities and support model ranking with stakeholders.
- Support Project Administration: Assist in scheduling meetings, minute-taking, and communicating tasks arising from project meetings.
- Disseminate Research Findings: Contribute to academic publications, participate in seminars, and engage with professional bodies to foster partnerships.
You may be a great fit if:
You will be a proactive and organised researcher with experience in ethics applications and literature reviews, capable of working collaboratively to enhance hospital work environments.
You may also:
- Have completed or be near completion of a relevant postgraduate degree, such as a Master of Public Health or PhD.
- Possess experience in preparing and submitting ethics applications and revisions.
- Have strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines independently.
- Demonstrate evidence of teamwork and collegiality in a research setting.
- Exhibit attention to detail and initiative in following up actions without supervision.
