Job Description Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the research assistant will provide research support to ongoing projects and grants related to volition, perception, and AI safety (including intentions-in-AI). Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing various research activities; data entry; conducting literature reviews and compiling findings; maintaining project related documentation and records; assisting with participant recruitment, trainings, and behavioral assessments; gathering EEG, TMS, eye-tracking, and other neural and behavioral data; analyzing data; writing up presentations, and manuscripts.
Responsibilities
- Independently performing various research activities
- Conducting literature reviews and compiling findings
- Maintaining project-related documentation and records
- Assisting with participant recruitment, trainings, and behavioral assessments
- Gathering and analyzing EEG, TMS, eye-tracking, and other neural and behavioral data
- Writing up presentations and manuscripts
- Other research-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in data collection and data entry
- Demonstrated analytical skills: define problems by performing research and fact finding
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to work as a supportive, cooperative member of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in psychology, health sciences, cognitive science, neuroscience, or similar background and experience
- Experience in a psychology or neuroscience lab using EEG, TMS, and/or eye-tracking equipment
