Job Description
- Geospatial & Environmental Analytics: Assist in quantifying the built and natural environment using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial network analyses. Process complex datasets related to urban morphology, microclimate, and social infrastructure.
- Fieldwork & Data Collection: Conduct on-site microclimate and visual environment audits using portable sensors across selected HDB precincts.
- Data Processing & Modeling: Utilize scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, R) to analyze large-scale spatial data, integrating environmental metrics with developmental health outcomes.
- Research & Dissemination: Publish findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Contribute to policy briefs, technical reports, and outreach materials for industry and government stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination: Coordinate with project partners, government agencies, and industry stakeholders, including organising and participating in meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Science/Analytics, Computational Biology, Environmental Systems, Data Science, Digital Humanities, or a closely related field.
- Proven proficiency in computational programming and data analysis (Python, MATLAB, R, C++).
- Demonstrated experience with CAD or geospatial analysis software (e.g., QGIS, ENVI). Familiarity with 3D computational modeling tools (e.g., Rhino3D) and the ability to adapt to parametric design software (e.g., Rhino/Grasshopper).
- Strong portfolio or proven experience in data visualization, UI/UX design, and digital media utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
