The Australian Tropical Herbarium is seeking internal applicants for a Research Assistant (HEWL 3) position.

This identified position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and will support research projects through fieldwork, sample collection and processing, data recording, and general research administration. The role will contribute to the successful delivery of research activities while ensuring compliance with established procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong organisational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, sound computer literacy, and effective communication skills.

A current Queensland C Class Driver Licence is required. The role may involve physically demanding work in outdoor environments, including occasional weekend and public holiday work.
