Name of the project: Saksham Pramaan – Programme Evaluation for National AIDS Control Programme (NACP)

Job Description for Research Associate: This research assistant position will work under the technical supervision of the Research Manager, Saksham Pramaan at Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Number of positions: Research Associate (1). Location: TISS, Mumbai. Tenure: 6 months. Salary Per Month: Rs. 50,000. Eligibility Criteria: Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences/Social Work/Population Studies/Public Health and allied fields. Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in research projects, in the field of HIV/AIDS is desirable. The candidate should have the necessary research skills of quantitative and qualitative data collection, data management, and analysis. Conversant in local language in addition to English. Well-versed in reporting and documentation. She/he shall have experience in conducting FGDs/IDIs with HRGs and Bridge population. The candidate should be sensitive towards issues relating to HRG communities and PLHIVs. Essential: High level of commitment and integrity and ability to work independently. Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills. Ability to strategize and implement the programme to get the expected outcome. Desirable: Knowledge of National AIDS Control Programme and programmatic evaluations.

Location: TISS, Mumbai. Tenure: 4 months. Salary Amount: Up to 35,000 p.m. Eligibility Criteria: Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences/Social Work/Population Studies/Public Health and allied fields. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in research projects, in the field of HIV/AIDS is desirable. The candidate should have the necessary research skills of quantitative and qualitative data collection and data management. Essential: Conversant in local language in addition to English. She/he shall have experience in conducting FGDs/IDIs. The candidate should be sensitive towards issues relating to HRG communities and PLHIVs. Willing to travel extensively. Desirable: Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
