The Department of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich is seeking a PhD research associate. The position is located at the Chair of Algorithms and Complexity (http://wwwalbers.in.tum.de/index.html.en), headed by Prof. Susanne Albers. Her research focuses on approximation and online algorithms, algorithmic game theory, and algorithm engineering.

Compensation is based on the TVL-13 (100%). The contract initially runs for two years and can then be extended for two additional years.

Candidates should have completed or be close to completing a university degree in computer science or mathematics. Good to excellent knowledge of theoretical computer science, particularly algorithms, and mathematics is desirable. Since the position's responsibilities include teaching courses, applicants should also have excellent German language skills.
