Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Associate for “Engineered extracellular vesicles for anti-cancer therapy (EVANTICA)” in the Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Teaching and research activities in our department range from clinical pharmacology, systems pharmacology, to basic molecular and cellular pharmacology. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Associate to join Prof Minh Le’s lab
Purpose of the post
The Research Associate will conduct laboratory research involving cell culture, microscopy, molecular assays, and animal experiments. The role involves close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and research team, as well as providing support for laboratory logistics and selected administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Main duties and responsibilities
The RA will be able to:
- Design and perform the experiments related to the research project;
- Analyze experimental data and assist in the preparation of reports and scientific publications;
- Assist the general logistics of the project, including procurement of lab consumables and reagents;
- Handle laboratory safety documentation, including preparation, archiving, and regular updates;
- Provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator when needed;
Qualifications
The applicant should:
- Hold at least a Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Prior experience in laboratory-based research is preferred.
- Good English communication skills
Desired Attributes
- 1-2 years hands-on experience with basic laboratory techniques.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team,
- Well-organized, attentive to detail, responsible, and able to manage time and work efficiently.
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
