Research Associate (Fixed Term)

Our group discovered an unprecedented, evolutionary conserved core enzyme (FAMIN) of energy metabolism that prevents inflammation and autoimmunity. Genetic loss of function causes monogenic Still's disease (a childhood fever syndrome with arthritis) and Crohn's disease (an inflammatory bowel disease), and a common hypomorphic variant predisposes for Crohn's disease and leprosy (a chronic infection). Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will initially be appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5, Point 38, £34,610) moving to Research Associate (Grade 7, SP 41, £37,694) upon confirmation of your PhD award.
