Your area of responsibility:
Your responsibilities will primarily include teaching and research in the field of urban planning and local development at the Technical University of Munich. This will involve team-oriented collaboration at the chair and the conception of your own, embedded thematic focus. Teaching will focus on conveying the design principles of urban planning and urban transformation in projects, seminars, and lecture formats. The position is initially limited to one year, with the possibility of an extension (up to six years, or even longer for doctorates). This is a qualification position in accordance with the German Act on Fixed-Term Employment for Academics (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz). This means that the intention to independently develop research and publication projects is a condition of employment. If project funding is successfully acquired, there is the prospect of an increase in the level of employment.
Your requirements profile:
The qualification requirement for employment is a completed university degree in architecture or urban planning, possibly landscape architecture with a focus on urban planning/planning (Master's degree or equivalent), as well as evidence of special skills in urban design and in the use of current design, planning, and presentation media.
Since the Technical University of Munich increasingly offers courses in English in addition to German-language instruction, appropriate foreign language skills are desirable.
