Research Associate (HSRPH /FJ)
Job Description
The selected candidate will perform a variety of research activities which include coordinating, organising and participating in research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following:
- Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.
- Conducting literature reviews and scoping reviews; synthesize and summarize research findings.
- Support data acquisition, cleaning, management, and basic descriptive analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of data visualizations, reports, presentations, and research materials.
- Support the preparation of documentation for ethics submissions and study protocols under supervision
- Assist with the preparation of grant-related documents, progress updates, and final reports to stakeholders.
- Provide coordination support for project activities, including scheduling, meeting documentation, and milestone tracking.
- Help with the organization of academic events such as conferences, seminars, and training workshops.
- Support project management activities and contribute to research presentations, including occasional project demonstrations where applicable.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics / Biostatistics / Data Science / Epidemiology (with strong quantitative focus)
- Basic knowledge of at least one statistical software package (e.g. STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, Excel)
- Familiarity with reference management software (e.g. EndNote, Zotero) and literature screening tools (e.g. COVIDENCE, Rayyan.ai)
- Interest in learning data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) is desirable
- Experience assisting in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, or conference presentations will be an advantage
- Possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to liaise professionally with clinicians, researchers, and technical staff
