Position Overview
The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) invites applications for a Research Associate position. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our research team. The successful candidate will support ongoing projects, assist with laboratory management, and perform a variety of biological and physiological experiments.

Responsibilities
- Conduct biological and physiological experiments in support of ongoing research projects.
- Assist in laboratory management, including equipment maintenance, inventory control, and ordering supplies.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and assist with data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure smooth lab operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with institutional and federal regulations.
- Contribute to reports, publications, and presentations as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Biology, Physiology, or a related field is required.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in standard biological and physiological laboratory techniques.
- Familiarity with animal handling.
- Experience managing laboratory operations, including inventory control and equipment maintenance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
Work Hours
Full-time; standard work hours with possible variations depending on research needs.
