Do you have experience in cell biology? Are you passionate about research and interested in drug discovery? If so, we’d welcome an application from you.
Prof Michelle Garrett is looking for a Research Associate to undertake cell biology work supervised by her as part of a three year Medical Research Council (MRC) funded project entitled “Phosphoestamers: A new technology platform to block protein-protein interactions in the cell”. This project is a collaboration with Dr Christopher Serpell at University College London (UCL), that aims to use the novel phosphoestamer technology, which we have recently published on to develop inhibitors of protein-protein interaction (PPI) for three structurally distinct cancer drug targets (https://doi.org/10.1039/D4SC07218A).

- Organising and managing a programme of laboratory work with reference to the research project work-plan, deliverables and milestones, outlined in the grant.
- Carrying out the research as documented in the proposal, following a research plan agreed with the project principal investigator, in order to deliver the specific aims of the grant.
