Research Associate in Neuroimmunology
The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.
Responsibilities may include managing and executing multiple research projects in the field of neuroimmunology, using murine models to understand and treat brain diseases using immune cell therapies, and analyzing and interpreting results of those projects. Writing peer reviewed manuscripts and grant applications in the field of neuroimmunology.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to publish first-author manuscripts, manage and mentor trainees at the staff and graduate student level, and present their work at conferences.
