"Research Associate"

Job Title: Research Associate

Employment Type: Temporary

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Climate Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, or a related field.
• Strong background in climate modelling and proficiency in using climate datasets such as CMIP6.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R for data analysis, and visualization.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for climate data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in writing scientific publications and grant proposals is an advantage.

Duration: The duration of the project is for one year.

As a researcher you will be responsible for,

• Conduct and support research on climate change, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Utilize climate models, particularly the CMIP6 dataset, to generate climate projections and conduct scenario analysis.
• Develop and maintain databases of climate-related data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate climate science into broader research initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, research papers, and policy briefs for a variety of audiences, including policymakers, scientists, and the general public.
• Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
• Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and advancements in climate science.
