Job Summary
Performs work related to Bioinformatics analyses in the field of cardiovascular.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
- Design and perform Bioinformatics analyses in the field of cardiovascular genomics such as GWAS, molecular QTL, drug screening, biomarker identification, precision medicine, Single-cell RNA and ATACseq, and Single-cell CRISPR screening techniques.
- Maintains research database, communicates well with other laboratory members, and works well as part of a team.
- Collaborating with computational and wet-lab biologists for mechanism elucidation.
- Preparing written and oral presentations of results for the team and the public.
- Maintaining and organizing large amounts of genetic data and summary statistics.
- Supervise junior members in the lab.
- Assist PI for writing publications and grant applications.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by P.I.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
