Research Associate- MCG Neuroscience & Regenerative Medicine
Job Summary
Participate in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols. Develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures. Write manuscripts and publish them in scientific journals. Perform experiments using conditional knockout mouse models and drug treatment to study changes in bone density, inflammation, and other aspects related to aging. Perform molecular biology experiments such as qRT-PCR, cell culture, differentiation, staining, microscopic and statistical analysis. Maintain mouse breeding colonies and genotyping.
Responsibilities
Participate in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols. Develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures. Publish results in scientific journals.
Perform experiments using conditional knockout mouse models and drug treatment to study changes in bone density, inflammation, and other aspects related to aging. Perform molecular biology experiments such as qRT-PCR, cell culture, differentiation, staining, microscopic and statistical analysis.
Maintain mouse breeding colonies and genotyping.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research. OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience.

Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
ABILITIES
Keep accurate records and make independent decisions. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and simultaneously meet deadlines despite often interruptions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of the normal business hours may be required). Pay Band: B8 Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position. Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
