Position Summary

The Department of Surgery is seeking a Part Time Research Associate. The primary role will be to enhance an existing cardiac surgical video analysis pipeline by expanding anatomy recognition models to support AI-assisted surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and augment the existing pipeline of surgical video analysis modules.
• Assist developing a pipeline using Segment Anything 2 for semi-automated anatomy segmentation.
• Aiding other module development related to AI-assisted cardiac surgery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning projects, PyTorch familiarity.
• Currently enrolled in a graduate or PhD program.

Other Requirements

• Intermediate coding experience in Python.
