Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent) and postdoctoral experience in research fields related to regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and/or translational animal models. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, including a demonstrated ability to publish research results in peer-reviewed journal articles.
Responsibilities may include scientific research using in vitro and in vivo models for a variety of cartilage and meniscus tissue engineering approaches, and more generally across the musculoskeletal system. The applicant is expected to submit and collaborate on grant proposals and journal publications, participate in the department's educational programs as assigned, and mentor and teach junior lab members.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment with experts in engineering, biology, and medicine.
