Research Associate - Physics
About the role
- $113K - $121K plus 9.5% superannuation and annual leave loading
- Fixed Term – 3 years
- Full-time (35 hours per week)
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Contribute to the management of the research group, including assisting with setting the strategic direction, supervision of students, and development of collaborative relationships.
- Deliver research outcomes in the broad field of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance.
- Collaborate with other research groups by providing EPR expertise and capacity.
- Prepare oxygen-sensitive optoelectronic materials and devices.
- Perform electrical and optical measurements where required.
- Keep detailed laboratory notes describing all experiments undertaken.
- Contribute to and draft papers for publication reporting on original research.
- Undertake interstate and international travel for collaborative visits when required.
- Work to maintain a culture which supports high quality research.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
- Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.
- Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.
