"Research Associate Position - Margulies laboratory"

Job Description

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D degree.

Responsibilities may include designing and executing studies focused on mechanobiology and myocardial tissue engineering, manuscript preparation, and development of applications for extramural funding.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to grow as an independent researcher in a collaborative environment with opportunities for mentorship. Selected candidates will be encouraged to interact and potentially form collaborative opportunities with fellow researchers within the field, as well as have opportunities to present data to the scientific community. Candidates will have at least 3 years of full-time post-doctoral research experience.
