Job Summary
The University of Utah is seeking a detail-oriented Research Associate to join the Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Center research team. The preferred candidates in this role will have a PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical, Neuropsychology, or related field, with significant expertise in big data analytical methods. The candidate must have expertise in cognitive, psychological, and neuroimaging data collection and analysis methods and can train and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the development and execution of advanced neuroimaging data analysis. Additionally, the candidate must have experience working with violence- and trauma-exposed populations, and experience with using red-light therapy interventions in these populations. Furthermore, the candidate must have working knowledge and experience of developing training and research grants for federal agencies. In this role, the candidate will assist with collection and analysis of data for a federally-funded randomized controlled trial, analyze large population health datasets, and contribute to the mentorship of trainees.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and interpret data to inform strategic decisions
- Perform scientific and technical duties, including conducting experiments or surveys, neuropsychological assessments, and neuroimaging data analysis
- Development, preparation, and writing of foundation and federal grants
- Train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on advanced statistical methodologies
- Maintain high standards of data integrity
