Research Associate / Senior Research Assistant in Social Media and Psychological Well-Being (25260311)

Applications are invited for a full-time position as Research Associate or Senior Research Assistant in the field of social media and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in a meta-analytic research project on social media and well-being, including conducting systematic literature searches, screening relevant studies, extracting and calculating effect sizes, coding study characteristics, and analysing data;
• Conduct literature reviews and assist in the development of grant proposals; and
• Provide administrative and operational support such as preparing reports and summaries.

Requirements:

• A PhD degree in psychology, communication, public health, statistics, or a related discipline; or a master’s degree with relevant research experience;
• Proficiency in data analysis using statistical software such as SPSS or R;
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written English;
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently as well as within a team; and
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience in conducting systematic literature searches, especially systematic reviews and/or meta-analyses.

The appointment will commence from January 2026 for up to 12 months, renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applicants with a PhD will be considered for appointment as Research Associate; those with a master’s degree and relevant experience will be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.
