Research Associate
The Research Associate performs specialized research activities in support of funded projects and research initiatives. This role conducts experiments using optically detected magnetic resonance employing optically active color centers in diamond and hBN, analyzes his data, performs statistical analysis, and contributes to research documentation and publications. The Research Associate will research methods of producing color centers and apply the resulting centers to studying magnetic dynamics under limited supervision, applies foundational research principles and technical expertise, and contributes to the development and implementation of research goals and processes.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
Relevant experience as demonstrated by one of the following:
o One (1) year of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree
o Three (3) years of relevant experience with an Associates degree
Foundational knowledge of research principles, methodologies, and technical processes relevant to magnetic resonance studies of materials.
Ability to conduct specialized experiments using advanced methodologies, analyze and interpret data (including statistical analysis), and prepare graphs, summaries, and reports to support research goals and publications.
Ability to support and contribute to research projects by following established procedures, assisting with research activities, and contributing to the development or implementation of research goals and processes.
The pay range for this job profile is $51,500 - $67,250. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
