Job Description

• This position is for Centre on Security, Mobile Applications and Cryptography (SMC).
• Lead Product Visual Design: Own the end-to-end UI design for our security products. Establish and maintain a cohesive, modern, and professional design system.
• Full-Cycle Design Involvement: Participate deeply in the entire product development process—from concept, user research, and prototyping to high-fidelity visual design and developer handoff—transforming complex security logic into clear and intuitive user interfaces.
• Design Execution & Delivery: Independently create interfaces, icons, illustrations, and other visual elements. Deliver high-quality UI specifications, interactive prototypes, and design assets to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and Front-end Engineers to ensure design integrity while proactively providing design-informed suggestions for product improvement.
• Design Exploration & Innovation: Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices, and drive continuous optimization and innovation of the product's visual experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Design, Fine Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional UI/Visual Design experience, with a strong online portfolio (portfolio link must be included with your application).
• Proficiency in mainstream design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of modern UI principles (e.g., layout, color, typography, motion) with the ability to create clean, refreshing, and highly modern interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork spirit, and a strong sense of ownership and self-motivation.
• Full-Cycle 0-to-1 Experience: Demonstrable experience taking at least one B2B or complex tool-based product from concept through launch and iteration. You must be able to clearly articulate your role and contributions.
• Startup Experience: Proven experience working in a startup or fast-paced growth environment. Must be adaptable to evolving priorities, adept at multitasking, and resilient under pressure.
• Some experience in interaction design or user experience research.
• Ability to create interactive motion prototypes using tools like Principle, Protopie, or After Effects.
• Basic understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) to facilitate smoother collaboration with development teams.
• A strong interest in technology or B2B products. While no security background is required, a willingness to learn the business logic is a plus.
