Research Engineer (Mechanical Design and Manufacturing)
Job Description
The selected Research Engineer is required to:
- Assist on the design and prototyping for the main concepts of multi-suction cups on SLA/DLP printers.
- Lead on communication with external vendors for outsourced tasks.
- Modify and manage design iterations based on target performance for the prototype.
- Build performance jigs and testing station to validate the performance matrix of the prototype.
Qualifications
- Possess a degree in Engineering in related field with the ability to navigate through material selections and handle vendor’s outreach.
- At least 3 - 4 years’ experience in industrial mechanical design/prototyping and soft material printing, including but not limited to Gcode programming.
- Highly proficient with CAD tools (Fusion 360/Creo/SolidWorks) and manufacturing specifications/regulations.
- Good written and spoken communications.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
