Applications are invited for the position of one (01) JRF and one (01) Research Assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology, under the research project sponsored by SERB and OSHEC.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering:

Name of the post: Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) (01)

Research Project: Design and Implementation of Low Complexity Wavelet Encoder using Approximate Computations for wireless visual sensor network applications

Principal Investigator: Prof. B. K. Mohanty

Tentative Tenure: 3 Years

Fellowship Amount: Rs. 31,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications: M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics/Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.

Desirable: Experience in VHDL coding, familiarity with Synopsys EDA Tools, FPGA, and Vivado Tools; knowledge of MATLAB and signal processing algorithms.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering:

Name of the post: Research Assistant (01)

Research Project: Design and Development of Large-Scale Time Series Forecasting using Deep Learning Techniques

Principal Investigator: Dr. Sibarama Panigrahi

Tentative Tenure: 20 Months

Fellowship Amount: Rs. 8,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology, MCA, or M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized university.

Desirable: Basic knowledge in Machine Learning and R/Python.
