Reporting to the Manager of The Ohio State Universitys Eastern Agricultural Research Station, assists with farm operations related to beef cattle and sheep production; performs animal operations specific to beef cattle and sheep production (feeding, calving, moving animals in working facilities and pastures, and other operations in a research environment). Assists with animal health care, manure handling and application to fields. Assists with loading and transporting animals to other OSU campuses and market destinations with truck and trailer. Assists with general operations including grounds maintenance, facilities and machinery maintenance. Operates tractors, mowers of various sizes, hay harvesting and other farm equipment. Cleans, repairs, and adjusts equipment and work areas. Assists with recording data and collecting samples. May be required to perform similar duties at other OSU locations. Other duties as assigned. Works adjusted schedule according to operational needs. Position is located in Jackson, Ohio.

• 40% Assists with animal health care, manure handling and application to fields. Assists with loading and transporting animals to other OSU campuses and market destinations with truck and trailer. Assists with general operations including grounds maintenance, facilities and machinery maintenance. Operates tractors, mowers of various sizes, hay harvesting and other farm equipment. Cleans, repairs, and adjusts equipment and work areas.
• 10% Assists with recording data and collecting samples. May be required to perform similar duties at other OSU locations. Other duties as assigned. Works adjusted schedule according to operational needs.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
