Research Fellow (2D TMDC)

Job Description

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Research Fellow to join our team and contribute to our research in advanced 2D TMDC material. As a Research Fellow, you will contribute to the development, integration, and characterization of 2D TMDC materials for optical and photonic applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of researchers and engineers on cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize high-quality, wafer-scale synthesis and deposition processes for 2D TMDC materials and their heterostructure.
  • Conduct fundamental research on charge transport mechanisms, exciton and Trion physics, and heterostructure properties in 2D TMDC.
  • Perform comprehensive electrical and optical characterization of devices using advanced measurement techniques.
  • Apply device physics principles to perform in-depth analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
  • Design and implement integration processes for 2D TMDC materials for integrated photonic and optoelectronic platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with internal team members and external partners to address research challenges and develop innovative solutions.

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a stimulating research environment and access to state-of-the-art facilities. This is a full-time position with an initial contract duration of 12 months, with potential for renewal based on performance and funding availability.

Qualifications

  • PhD Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in working with 2D TMDC materials.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
