RESEARCH FELLOW
The Gilbert S. Omenn Department of Computational and Bioinformatics is seeking a Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Naoki Masuda. This postdoctoral position provides computational research capacity within DCMB to execute a research program at the interface of genomics, network science, and behavioral data modeling relevant to gene expression and disease early warning. The postdoc will perform directed research to achieve the objectives of the project, specifically: (i) deploy network analysis methods to genomic co-expression data (70%), and (ii) develop early warning signals for disease conditions including psychiatric disorders using differential equations (30%).
- Accelerated progress on funded research aims through sustained, specialized effort that cannot be met by short-term or fractional support.
- Development of reproducible analytical pipelines and computational methods that can be shared with, adapted by, and disseminated across other Michigan Medicine research teams.
- Scholarly manuscripts, conference presentations, and open-source code/methods.
Ph.D. in a quantitative or computational field such as Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Biostatistics or a closely related field.
