Position Description
Performs specialized post-doctoral work in the planning, conducting and/or supervision of original research. Responsible for participating in a research project associated with Ph.D. studies and the interpretation of the results of publication. Work is performed under supervision of graduate faculty members with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of the project. May supervise research and student assistants.

- Plan, conduct, and complete research experiments.
- Presentation of experiment data after collection and analysis.
- Ability to draft and compose protocols for the experiments conducted/needed for the current work in the lab.
- Conduct experiments using lab animals.
- Supervising other lab members.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with routine immunological assays and molecular biology techniques including isolation and enrichment of immune cells from tissues for ex vivo and in vitro analyses. The focus of the lab is on mechanistic understanding of immune cell interaction/response to bioelectronics, antimicrobial immunity, and allergic sensitization. Other interest is in evaluating adaptive immune response to the vaccine. Lab applies various high throughput and autonomous immunological assays to answer research questions. Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof. Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions and other outcomes. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to plan and allocate the workload of employees, providing direct training and supervision as needed.
PhD in immunology / microbiology/neurosciences or related fields. A prior research experience with mouse models/neuroimmune mouse models, immune cell enrichment from skin and lung tissues, flow cytometry is desirable. Proven analytical and presentation skills related to associated experiments. Prior experience supervising experiments and/or staff.
