Research Fellow (Biological Sciences)
Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Principal Investigator Jun Ying Lim on a project assessing the functional connectivity of Singapore’s forest ecosystems via population genetic analysis of native tree species. The appointment is for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal.
Successful candidates are expected to perform:
- Field sample collections of target species
- Preparation of sequencing libraries
- Bioinformatics and population genetic analyses
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Genomic, Population Genetics or Pollination Ecology.
Skills and Experience:
Candidate must be proficient in field botanical collection, plant DNA extraction, and library preparation for next generation sequencing techniques. Candidate should also be proficient in the analysis of genetic / genomic data.
