Job Description
The Plant Ecology, Evolution and Biogeography (PEEB) Lab has two Research Fellow positions on a project entitled “A global modelling framework for frugivory and seed dispersal interactions to understand ecosystem functioning in the human modified tropics”. Appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. Successful candidates will be expected to:
- (Co-)develop, implement and lead impactful research including but not limited to the following topics:
- Modelling the impacts of defaunation / refaunation on seed dispersal functioning globally
- Developing new methodologies for the modelling of seed dispersal interactions
- Understanding how frugivory and seed dispersal interactions are structured across the tropics
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Qualifications
Ph.D. (or have a Ph.D. conferred within 6 months of the appointment commencing) in Macroecology, Seed Dispersal Ecology, Ecological Modelling, or related field.
