Research Fellow (Composite Materials and Additive Manufacturing)
Job Description
- Conduct research on the design, fabrication, and characterization of advanced composite materials for additive manufacturing.
- Develop, optimize, and evaluate material formulations and 3D printing processes for high-performance composite structures.
- Perform materials characterization, mechanical testing, and data analysis to understand processing–structure–property relationships.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary collaborators to translate research outcomes into functional prototypes and engineering applications.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in leading international journals and present research findings at conferences.
- Support the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students and contribute to laboratory operations, including equipment upkeep and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in composite materials, additive manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience in materials characterization and mechanical testing, with the ability to independently design and conduct experiments.
- Strong publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary research team.
