Research Fellow (HSRPH/ NG)

Job Description

Duke-NUS embodies a strategic partnership between Duke University and National University of Singapore (NUS). It works closely with the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) cluster which is a network of national specialty disease centres, hospitals and polyclinics, to advance medicine and improve lives through cutting-edge research and education. Together, Duke-NUS and SingHealth form an Academic Medical Centre that comprises a number of academic collaborations.

The Signature Research Programme in Health Services Research and Population Health (HSRPH) at Duke-NUS Medical School has built a mental health programme to improve mental health in Singapore and in the region by conducting high-quality research, fostering strong partnerships, and translating insights into policy and community impact.

The Programme is seeking a full-time Research Fellow to join our team. Successful candidate will support our growing portfolio of mental health research as follows:

  • Assess the economic impact of public health interventions and health technologies to provide evidence-based guidance for policy decisions.
  • Conduct comparative effectiveness analyses through systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and real-world evidence analysis to determine the economic viability and impact of public health programmes and policies, and to identify the most cost-effective public health interventions.
  • Develop and applying economic theories and models to support efficient and equitable healthcare resource allocation and priority setting, optimising healthcare delivery and improving health outcomes.
  • Establish and lead an independent research agenda through securing extramural funding.
  • Develop and participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary research initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy and community development efforts in the field of public health.
