You will drive advanced computational models in Julia to understand pest responses to changing climates.
You will master an existing modelling framework and help refine it. You will shape flexible research directions, collaborate with field and lab teams, supervise students and contribute to teaching.
What you will deliver:
- Conduct high quality biophysical ecology research aligned with the ARC project on climate responses of pests.
- Develop, refine and apply quantitative models of organisms and environments using advanced computational and mathematical approaches.
- Publish research in high impact journals, present at conferences, and engage with national and international collaborators.
- Contribute to teaching in the School of BioSciences, equivalent to one semester-long course each year.
- Support and co-supervise research students, fostering open science, collegiality, equity, diversity and inclusion.
