As a Research Fellow in the Griffin Laboratory, you'll have the opportunity to lead innovative research on protein complexes and interactions. You'll be responsible for developing protein reagents, conducting biophysical characterisation, and contributing to milestone-based research goals. This role offers you the chance to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment at the forefront of biochemistry and structural biology.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Research Activities: Conduct protein purification, analysis, and biophysical characterisation to support milestone-based research goals.
  • Manage Laboratory Operations: Oversee sample storage, inventory management, and maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with team members, participate in laboratory meetings, and contribute to reports and publications.
  • Uphold University Values: Demonstrate and promote the Faculty values of collaboration, compassion, respect, integrity, and accountability.

You may be a great fit if: You are a highly self-motivated researcher with a PhD in Biochemistry, possessing strong expertise in protein biochemistry and structural biology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment.

You may also:

  • Have a PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline.
  • Possess extensive experience in protein chemistry, production, and purification.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in protein biophysics and structural biology techniques.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Show strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be proficient in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
