Research Fellow (Level A) - Reproductive Health
- Full-time, Fixed Term position until 18 December 2026
- Salary Academic Level A6-A8 ($102,047 - $109,536 p.a.) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
- Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
As the Research Fellow, you will carry out independent and/or team research which has a significant impact in the area of women's health with a primary focus on endometrial biology, embryo implantation and endometriosis. It is expected that you will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop and assist in the supervision of research students. You will report to Professor Guiying Nie, the Head of Implantation and Pregnancy Research laboratory.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
- Demonstrated emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding.
- Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture, organoid culture and analysis, and stem cell biology.
- Strong skills in molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics, general microscopy and confocal microscopy.
- Extensive experience in histology and immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and cell sorting.
- Knowledge and research experience in reproduction in general, and endometrial biology, embryo implantation and endometriosis in particular.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Qualifications
Mandatory: PhD in related field
Desirable: Experience in spatial analysis, proteomics.
