  • Fixed Term until June 2026 | Part-Time 0.6 FTE
  • Research (Academic) Level B | $113,211 - $133,974 p.a. pro rata

About the Role

The Research Fellow will actively contribute to the work of ARIIA by supporting the delivery of the Knowledge and Implementation Hub (KIH) and related research, evaluation and dissemination activities. The incumbent will assist with preparing high-quality documentation, coordinating tasks, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.

The role will undertake critical appraisal and synthesis of academic and grey literature, as well as practice-based resources, and translate findings into accessible summaries, reports, publications and other dissemination outputs. A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining networks with academic experts, community organisations, consumers and aged care industry representatives to co-produce evidence-based resources.

Working closely with the KIH team, the Research Fellow will help develop online content, including web pages, interactive tools and learning modules. The role will also contribute to evaluation activities, ethics and research applications, and support ARIIA’s marketing, communications and dissemination efforts using clear, lay language tailored to diverse audiences across the aged care sector.

Research, clinical or industry background in health, aged care or social sciences highly desirable.

About You

Having completed a PhD in a health or social services-related discipline, you have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Australian aged care or health care sectors.

Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, enable you to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, as well as community organisations, consumers and industry partners.

Your passion for collaboration and flexibility, allow you to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, in a non-traditional research fellow role.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Well-developed skills in thematic analysis, evidence synthesis and critical summation of research evidence and grey literature.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute data collection and quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated excellence in knowledge mobilisation and dissemination including ability to write in lay language for a variety of different audiences and communicate messages in different ways/modalities/platforms.
  • Experience with resource platforms, libraries, repositories or websites preferred.
  • Experience utilising AI software to summarise or search in large quantities of information preferred.
