Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct Advanced Research: Undertake chemical sensing of biomolecules, material testing, and electrochemical evaluations, maintaining confidentiality of commercially sensitive results.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Present findings at research meetings, liaise with research collaborators and industry partners, and publish outcomes in peer-reviewed journals.
- Manage Laboratory Operations: Oversee day-to-day lab functions, maintain stocks, ensure chemical safety, and co-supervise undergraduate and PhD students.
- Engage and Network: Participate in outreach activities, promote research through media channels, and foster collaborative partnerships with external networks.
You will have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with expertise in biomolecular engineering, biosensing characterisation, and microfluidic device fabrication, excelling in communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
You may also:
- Possess deep knowledge of biochemistry and experience in clinical trials.
- Be familiar with MATLAB or LabVIEW for data analysis and device programming.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
- Thrive in managing competing priorities and exhibit excellent time management skills.
- Have a desire to work on industry-related research, contributing to innovative healthcare solutions.
